Declaimer- This is not medical advice, information provided is strictly educational, my personal research and use. Please do your own research before the usage of prescribed drugs, herbal remedies or home remedies.
I will start by saying- I cannot control everything outside of my household when it comes to health and wellness. Not everyone cares enough about their health to actually make daily changes and better habits. However It will never hurt me to continue to share important information regarding health and wellness because you never know who is watching, who is on the verge of needing that extra encouragement to create better life choices.
Our ancestors didn’t take fancy little pink, green and yellow pills for their various aches, pains and medical conditions. There were no drugstores or pharmacies as we know them today (later, there would be apothecaries). Instead, they used plants and herbs as their medicines because that is REAL medicine. Depending on the specific medical situation or complaint, they would ingest or apply the herb crushed or whole. Sometimes instead, they would make an oil-based (maceration), water-based (tea) or alcohol based (“tonic”) infusion and ingest or apply it topically as needed. Herbs and oils are not new to History. Yes the medical industry has come a long way, but that doesn’t mean anything that grows from Mother Nature is unsafe or unhealthy.
Supplements are needed now more then ever because of the lack of nutrition in our food and our food not being real food any longer.
There is a rise in every kind of illness and disease because of the preservatives, dyes, msg and many other toxins added to “food” like products on top of the garbage that is added to products people so willingly slather on themselves.
Our kids most certainly NEED the extra nutrition, not only due to the lack of nutrition in foods but due to toxins being passed down through us as parents. What we consume or inject does in fact get into our DNA and can be passed to our children. Kids are also over stressed and over stimulated with screen time, unnecessary un-educational toys and less and less time is being spent outside exploring. Another few reasons we need to invest in supplements is the following:
1. Soil depletion has reduced the nutrient content of our food supply.
2. Modern use of chemical pesticides and herbicides all over the world make food somewhat toxic, and damage soil microorganisms.
3. Food additives often further deplete nutrients.
4. Weak digestion and poor eating habits impair the absorption of nutrients.
5. Stressful and hurried lifestyles impair digestion and use up more nutrients.
6. Supplements SHOULD BE USED to balance the body and fill in these gaps where zero nutrition is being received from “food”.
A large percentage of the population is now interested in natural remedies again. Many times, natural remedies can reduce our symptoms without side effects and at a fraction of the cost of a doctor visit and a prescription. But natural remedies come at a cost, and that cost is to Big Pharma. Healthy people do not make the FDA, big pharma, the vaccine industry or allopathic doctors money.
Pharmaceutical companies are losing big money as researchers show what humans have known for a long time: by improving our health through diet, exercise, and natural remedies, we can avoid most reasons to go to the doctor and consume both over-the-counter and prescription drugs. Essential Oils are one of many ways I have chosen to take charge of my families health, but it is not the only way, we take supplements and I have detoxed my entire home from toxic products including plastic anything, synthetic blankets and towels etc. Switching out your toxic cleaning products and personal products is just as important.
